The conference location

The conference ist held at the Catholic Academy of Freiburg - a modern convention centre directly in the centre of Freiburg in southern Germany. The conference centre provides enough space for presentations, diskussions and the info market in one place. And outside the conference programme it is easy to explore the city of Freiburg on foot.

Freiburg is the sunny capital of the Black forest in the southwest of Germany close to the Swiss and French border.
Centre of the city is the medieval cathedral (German: Münster) with its tower widely called the most beautiful of Christianity. The city has an unusual system of gutters (called "Bächle") that run throughout its centre.
The scenic beauty and easy access to the Black Forest make Freiburg a famous starting point for excursions. The longest cable car in Germany runs from just outside the city to a nearby mountain called Schauinsland.

Freiburg can be reached easily: By train using numerous fast-train connections, by air reaching the international Euroairport Basel/Mulhouse and the international Airport of Strasbourg or by car.
